Manila City Tour
Take a guided tour of Manila's historical landmarks such as Rizal Park, the country's premier park and site of many important events in the country's history; Intramuros, the Spanish colonial city which houses Fort Santiago, the old Spanish military headquarters; San Agustin Church, the oldest stone church in the city with its own museum of religious and secular art; and Barrio San Luis, a complex of reconstructed period houses depicting the Filipino lifestyle of the 19th century. The tour also includes Quiapo, a district popular to the locals for its open market and its church which enshrines the black statue of Jesus Christ; and finally, the Chinese Cemetery known for its peculiar grandiose mausoleums with a fascinating blend of different religious elements. The tour concludes at Makati, the country's financial and commercial hub.
Tagaytay Tour
Discover the countryside. Visit the picturesque city of Tagaytay, perched on a ridge of 700 meters overlooking the magnificent Taal Lake and its active island volcano. Its surrounding farm lands planted with flowers, vegetables, fruits, coffee and palm trees add to the charm of the city. Have lunch at a local restaurant with a view of the volcano and enjoy a taste of local delicacies. Visit a jeepney factory, and see the 176-year old Bamboo Organ, the only one of its kind in the world, at the Las Piñas Church.
Shopping Center
Find out why Metro Manila is an uncontested shopper's paradise, from bargain basement finds to upscale haute couture. Visit the Greenhills Shopping Center, a mecca for those in search of electronics, mobile phones and the latest fashions and trends at the most affordable prices. Visit the pavilion featuring fine and fashion jewelry created from South Sea pearls, freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, natural beads and crystals. A few minutes away is the country's largest mall, Megamall, offering a department store, supermarket, and an extensive array of boutiques, bookstores, art galleries and restaurants. Neighboring high-end Shangri-La Plaza features foreign brands such as Paul Smith, Nine West, Furla, Mango, Lancel, Armani Exchange, Escada, Marks and Spencer and the Body Shop. For a spending spree, nothing beats Makati's twin shopping complexes Greenbelt with its exclusive brands and Glorietta with over 400 establishments. And if you're in the market for local souvenirs and handicrafts, Tesoro's and Balikbayan handicrafts offers exquisite Philippine fabrics, woven items, wooden artifacts, mother of pearl accessories, sterling silver home accents, and native jewelry.
Museum Tour
Learn about the history and culture of the Philippines with a tour of the various museums in Manila. Begin with a visit to the 18th century Casa Manila inside the old walled city of Intramuros, with its beautiful inner courtyards, colonial furniture and furnishings. Proceed to other interesting museums that are rich in historical and colonial culture, like Bahay Tsinoy which celebrates the Chinese heritage in all aspects of Philippine life, and San Agustin Museum with its frescoes, santos (religious wood/ivory statues), liturgical robes, and gold and silver ornaments. Visit the National Museum and see the famous Spolarium, Juan Luna's wall-sized mural of Roman gladiators, considered one of the best works in the world, as well as paintings of 19th century masters and sculptures. Then see the National Museum of the Filipino People for a recreation of the wreck of the San Diego which sank in battle off Batangas in 1600 and retrieved earthenware, stoneware, porcelain and weapons. Also on display are prehistoric finds including tools, ornaments and the skull of Tabon Man, the earliest known human inhabitant of the Philippines (16,500 years).
