Last April 23, 2010, the annual ACI Convention Brokers’ Night was held at Shangri-la Boracay Resort and Spa. The night started with a dinner buffet and business session at the Sagana ballroom. After which ACI members proceeded to the lobby lounge to join the event sponsored by the leading brokers: Amstel, ICAP, Tullet Prebon, Tradition, GFI, BGC, Nittan Capital, and New Edge. Ideally located at the 4th floor, the lobby was able to give its guests a spectacular moonlit view of Boracay’s famous shores.
With dim lights and fresh wind blowing from the sea, the night maintained an intimate, yet laid back mood. Dressed in their best smart-casual beach attire, the ACI members gathered and socialized with each other over a wide selection of drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Delegates from all over the world enjoyed the night as they rekindled old friendships and built new networks. Each delegate acted not with a distinction of positions, companies and work background but as friends simply partaking with the merry making. From exchanges of stories, experience, laughter and a couple of clinging of glasses, everyone indeed had a fun-filled night to remember.
